We are delighted to have 2 new build development scheduled for completion in 2022 adding 61, one, two and three bedroom homes for social rent to our stock!
At our flagship Queens Quay development we will have 37 homes for social housing, including 4 wheelchair adapted flats. Our Dalton Avenue site will have 24 homes, including 2 wheelchair adapted flats. We are committed to providing wheelchair standard housing as part of all of our future new build developments.
Enhanced Services to Tenants
We are proud to have a wide range of enhanced services at our tenants’ disposal including tenancy sustainment and welfare rights advice and support.
Our Tenancy Sustainment Officer, Nikki Quinn can support tenants in their ability to sustain their tenancy. Nikki works in partnership with a variety of local and national agencies to highlight support that tenants may otherwise not be aware of, including the Scottish Welfare Fund, fuel assistance and agencies that provide support for both physical and mental disabilities. Our Welfare Rights Officer, Katie McGhee, will ensure our tenants are aware of and receive their maximum benefits. Regardless if tenants are in or out of work, working age or retired, Katie will carry out benefit calculations and can identify any benefits you may be entitled to, including disability benefits, and can assist with the application process. In addition to this, Katie can help to challenge benefit decisions through mandatory reconsiderations and appeals. Whether you are a tenant or not, the whole community has access to our wonderful community centre, Centre81. Centre81 and its tenants run a wide variety of activities throughout the week. The centre boast fabulous community gardens, available for growing produce or simply visiting and our gardener is on hand to provide advice. Cycling and lunch clubs are just a few of the activities available. A new pathway is about to be completed which will provide wheelchair access direct from the canal path into the centre. Why not pop into Café81 for coffee, lunch or a delicious treat?
